Fixing Horizons Lines in Lightroom and Photoshop

Are you guilty of this crime against photography?

I have to admit it, I have a personal gripe to make about crooked horizon lines, sadly I can be guilty of this too. I have no idea HOW I manage it, especially with levels on tripods and built in to live-view and such, but I still manage to often get a crooked horizon line…but they drive me crazy. There, I admit it.

Sure if you INTENTIONALLY make a crooked horizon and it is obvious, that can be dramatic and even cool, but when it is accidental and it is just a smidgen out…THAT because totally noticeable and ANNOYING. I see an image online and my fingers itch to tell someone, hey your horizon is crooked, but I try to be good and say nothing unless they ask for CC.

But there is no need to fear, as it is really easy to fix…below is a video I did for fixing them in Lightroom and Photoshop, sorry I do not really use any other programs, but I am sure it is pretty easy in most.
